Purchased in 2006 by Taphouse, they instigated a multi-million dollar refurbishment, converting it from a corner pub to a contemporary hotel/bistro/entertainment lounge, offering all the modern amenities whilst retaining its historic personality.

History

First granted a license to sell liquor in 1911 this beautiful old pub has seen many a transition throughout the years and has been a landmark of Coolangatta with many patrons considering it to be their "watering hole", and, almost a second home.

Location

Brilliantly located in the heart of Coolangatta with surfing beaches directly across the road, and a short drive of five minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, which caters for international as well as domestic travellers. An array of theme parks are only 40 minutes away by public transport and the hinterland mountain ranges are easily accessible.
